Why is Mirco FUE better?
Video Transcript
Hello everybody. It’s Dr. Vinay from Northwestern Hair. In today’s video I want to talk to you about why Micro FUE could be better than FUE or other technologies out there. Before I go into saying why something is better than FUE, I like to recognize that FUE is an excellent procedure. It’s been around for 20 to 25 years. It’s given satisfaction rates of 90%, 95%. It’s what all clinics across the world are really performing and it’s delivering results that people want.
Micro FUE is an attempt to address the concerns that those people have about their appearance and their results after the procedure. About one third to one half people say, “Hey, my hair feel dry and frizzy.” And the entire infrastructure of Micro FUE is just meant to address that one component. The results look more natural.
So why is Micro FUE better and can we prove it? We can’t prove it because Micro FUE’s only been out for a very short period of time. It’s only performed by a very few number of clinics across the globe. In our office we call it Micto FUE. Other places they might call [inaudible] or say there’s a lot of other names for this procedure, but they haven’t been compared head to head against FUE in a robust manner quite yet. However, from a very theoretical standpoint and we see across the board in plastic surgery, is that the gentler you are with the tissues, the less they scar and the more natural results will be.
So remember, in Micro FUE, we’re taking out the hairs in a much more gentler way. When we’re implanting them, they’re going to heal with less scar and the results are going to be more natural. As time evolves, we’re going to learn a lot more about the results between Micro FUE and FUE, and we’re probably going to see that there is a significant difference, but right now it’s pretty early to tell.
